All construction sectors

All 51 sectors on BuildPedia - 42 live and 9 on the way - grouped the way the site is organised. Each live sector opens on its own build sequence, in order, with a step-by-step guide behind every process.

Homes, offices, hospitals, schools - everything with rooms in it.

Transport Infrastructure

About this group of sectors

Roads, bridges, tunnels, rail, airports and ports - the heavy civils that move everything.

Utilities & Energy

About this group of sectors

Power, water, sewers, grids and data - the networks everything else plugs into.

Industrial & Specialist Facilities

About this group of sectors

Oil & gas, factories, warehouses, mines and laboratories - built to process, not to inhabit.

Environmental & Land Development

About this group of sectors

Earthworks, landscaping, remediation and coastal works - shaping the ground itself.

Work on what is already there - refurbishment, alteration and the trades that only ever work on existing assets.

Not sure where to start

If you want the whole arc of a project rather than one sector, start with Residential & Housing. It is the most complete sequence on the site and it runs from the first fence panel to the final snag, so the shape of it transfers to almost anything else you will work on.

If you would rather see how the site is put together first, the Groups of Sectors page explains the four levels - group, sector, process, method - and what the colour of a page tells you.
